Draft by Vyacheslav Molotov with a personal and secret message from Joseph Stalin to Franklin D. Roosevelt on his trip to the front lines, the Red army’s conquest of the cities of Oryol and Belgorod, and the organisation of a trilateral meeting

"I am able to answer your last message of 16 July only now after returning from the front lines. I have no doubt that you are aware of our military situation and will understand the delay.

As I have already told Mr. Davis some time ago, I have no objections to Mr. Churchill's presence at this meeting, which would thereby become a trilateral rather than a bilateral meeting of heads of state."
